IF YOU UPGRADE TO THIS FIRMWARE VERSION YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY HOMEBREW. However, you can downgrade back down to 1.50 by using the MPH downgrader tool found in our Hacks&Exploits section.

This is the 1.51 firmware for PSP. To upgrade from a lower firmware version to this version, unzip the file and place the included EBOOT.PBP file on the memorystick at this location: MS:PSPGAMEUPDATEEBOOT.PBP

The update is then started from the Game --> Memory Stick menu item.
